Interesting story by Bill Croxall of The Chattanoogan on buyer in the Suburbs of Chattanooga preferring newly constructed homes. This dovetails in to one of the big reasons for our current inventory crunch of homes. So many builder and developers were hit hard or knocked out of business altogether during the Recession that there was not the normal buying and readying of land for new subdivisions after the recession. This has left our market, like many others, without enough new home inventory to meet the needs of buyers. Read the full story here:
